Established on 23 July 1983, El Kala Park, the largest national park in the north of the country, is made up of a mosaic of marine, dune, lacustrine and forest ecosystems covering an area of 76,438 hectares.
It is one of the last refuges of the Barbary deer. The birdlife is very remarkable thanks to an internationally renowned wetland complex, including 5 on the Ramsar wetland convention list. A marine fringe rich in coral and fish.
