Algeria has witnessed many important historical events, the most important of which are:
3000 BC: Berbers settled in the coastal areas of North Africa.
1000 BC: Phoenicians occupied the Algerian coast.
200 BC: The Kingdom of Numidia was established in northern Algeria by Massinissa.
148 BC: Massinissa died during the siege of Carthage, and the Romans established protection for Numidia. The area was divided between the three sons of Massinia.
46 BC: Julius Caesar formed a new province in Numidia.
429 CE: Roman rule ended after the conquest of the Vandal.
432 AD: The rule of the Vandals of Algeria is complete.
The year 683 AD: the Arab conquest of Algeria, and the entry of Islam to it.
The National Tourism Board of Algeria (ONT) is the Ministry’s instrument in charge of designing and implementing the promotion, marketing, and communication policy of Algerian tourism.
